Atlasjet Airlines was established on March 14, 2001 by Öger Holding A.S., licensed to carry out “Passenger and Cargo Transportation on Unscheduled Flights, Domestic and International and carried out its first flight on June 1, 2001. In April 2004 the Turkey tourism group ETS took over 49% of atlasjet and a new organizational structure was introduced to the company combining the forces of the ETS and the Öger Group. On June 14, 2004, it was licensed to “Carry Out Passenger and Cargo Transportation on Scheduled and Unscheduled Flights, domestic and internatioal“ by SHGM. Two weeks later, on July 1, 2004, atlasjet started its scheduled flights domestically. In Turkey it is the first private airline holding the IATA certificate.

Atlasjet allows children who left their 7th birthday behind (i.e. aged more than 6 years) but younger than age twelve to fly unaccompanied subject to the rules described below:

1) Unaccompanied travel of a minor is subject to presentation of a written consent issued by one of the parents or the legal guardian of the minor to Atlasjet prior to flight.
2) Final reservation should have been obtained from Atlasjet for all stages of the minor’s flight.
3) An unaccompanied minor check-in form must be filled for the UM at the airport. Identity and contact information of the parent or legal guardian who brings the minor to the departure airport and who will pick him/her up at the arrival airport must be given in said form. This form must be signed by the parent and/or legal guardian, copy thereof will be delivered to the parent and/or legal guardian.
4) The ticket, passport or other documents of the UM will be put in a UM bag, said bag is worn by the minor on his/her neck, and the minor is delivered to a boarding officer.
5) The parent or legal guardian of the minor must wait at the airport until the airliner takes off.
6) The boarding officer will let the minor aboard as the very last passenger.
7) Airline company will be responsible for taking care of the UM passenger during his/her transfers and his/her waiting for transfers. If the UM’s flight discontinues due to any reason at any of the transfer points, a notice will be given to his/her parent or legal guardian at both the departure and arrival airports, thereafter the UM passenger will be sent back to his/her original departure airport or be provided with hotel service by an accompanier.
8) At the arrival airport, the UM passenger will be delivered by a representative of the airline company to the person identified in the above mentioned UM form after checking said person’s identity card, against a receipt to be signed by said person.
9) UM passengers will not be allowed to sit on any of the seats nearby the emergency doors of the airliner.

Expectant mothers has passed the 28th week of pregnancy will have to present a medical certificate in order to be permitted on the plane. The certificate must include information on the actual week of her pregnancy and a statement by the doctor on whether it is advisable for her to fly or not. Passengers who have passed the 35th week of their pregnancy will generally not be accepted on the plane.

Every passenger is allowed to check in up to 30 kg for the workers flights and 20 kg for the touristic flights. Hand luggage to be taken into the cabin mustn’t weigh more than 6 kg nor exceed a size of 60 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm .

Special luggage is allowed on the plane. You should, however, notify your travel agent immediately at purchase of the flight ticket about the special luggage that you want to check in.

5 Kg pets are allowed to be transported in the cabin and subject to a fee of 10Ytl. Additional life stock in air conditioned, air pressured containers. Guide dogs always in the cabin.
Birds are temporarily restricted in Atlasjet flights.
